  • The spectacular looking Shakespeare, just off manchester’s market street, originated in chester but was moved to manchester sometime in the 1920’s. the exterior gives an impression of a real old world pub, the inside has been chopped and changed over the years and now is quite dark. The bar is quite reasonable and there are a few real ales on offer, there are some imported bottle lagers on offer too.  Popualr with shoppers and office workers alike, they also offer traditional pub grub, with a roast being the special on sundays. A great jukebox and a number of tvs allow the drinker to spend a great couple of hours in this friendly city centre pub.

As one of the oldest pubs in Manchester it has a 1660s exterior with a mostly wooden floor. The pub itself has a decent selction of lagers (but they no longer do Kronenbourg 1664). The interior’s a bit dark towards the back There’s a fairly large menu with a large selection of sausgages and they have condiments on the bar. They sell lager in branded pint glasses with Stella Artois being my fasvourite there and they replacing the Kronenbourg 1664 with Becks. One of the best things about it is that it’s slpa bang opposite Primark and right next to Pizza Hut with easy acess to shops. The staff’re friendly ans so’s the atmosphere. Unfortunately the televisions have their sound off and seem to be permanently tuned into Sky Sports. Sometimes you might have to wait a while before getting a seat but apart from the negative critissms, I strongly reccommend this to anybody.
