There’s a good choice of beers on offer and some great guest ales. Food wise, there’s a traditional british menu, offering a great choice of pub grub.

Went in late on a Sunday night, it was very quiet and ready for closing, but the staff are friendly and they have some nice real ales on tap, the black sheep was really nice. It does remind me a little of being in a Wetherspoons, I’d have to see on a Friday night if the cliental are the same.
Otherwise a nice chilled out Sunday night.
myself and my wife went in “the bank” on sat 10th march at around 4.45pm. upon arrival we quickly found a table near one of the windows and sat down. it was obvious that there had been diners ,on the table, because of the crumbs and empty glasses left over. i went to the bar, ordered drinks, and then asked the barman if the table could be cleaned. 10mins later still waiting…..not a good start. my wife then went to order food, and there was no problem in ordering, however when the starters arrived (house salad—garlic bread) two pieces of salad DOES NOT Constitute “a salad”, although the garlic bread was ok. Then the main meals arrived…….where do i start ???. my beef and ale pie was great…piping hot and really tasty….however the mashed potatoes were bearly luke warm and the “seasonal veg” were freezing cold. when a waitress came over and asked us about our meal. This is the 1st time EVER I have complained. sorry but, things need to be adressed and sorted out. 0ne more thing. myself and my wife have had numerous afternoons/evenings in the bank, and have had good food and service….unfortunately that saturday wasn,t one of there better days.
