  • If you’re looking for somewhere to get a drink or a bite to eat before a show then you can’t get any closer and more convenient than the Stalls Cafe Car inside the Bridgewater Hall.  They offer a range of wines, beers and spirits as well as tea and coffee. On concert nights, bars are open on all four foyer levels, serving both before the concert and during the interval. Interval drinks can also be pre-ordered on all four levels. At lunch times (11am-2:30pm) there’s a good choice of wraps, sandwiches, platters and full meals to choose from, with a smaller pre-concert menu available between 5:30pm-6:45pm (reservations normally required).
  • Food (British)
  • Opening Hours: Mon-Fri 11am-2.30pm & Concert Days 5pm-after performance ends

A place obviously visited by people who are watching a performance at the Bridgewater. However, if you go in during a performance (especially on a Sunday), you can have a drink in the bar whilst overhearing the classical music in the hall and watching it on a tv screen. Personally I like to pay and watch the show but if you fancy an afternoon coffee with a free performance (obviously the sound is muted a little due to the walls and doors between the orchestra and the cafe bar) then go to the Bridgewater and ‘wet your whistle’.
