The Brunswick – The Brunswick, 97 Piccadilly, Manchester, M1 2DB map
- The brunswick is a psuedo traditional pub just a stone’s throw from Piccadilly Station. It was once a traditional pub (also called The Brunswick) before changing it’s name and appearance to Finnegan’s Wake, eventually reverting back to its original name. Confusingly, it is also branded as the trendier sounding ‘b lounge’ which along with it’s sister bar B Lounge @ The Bridge is creating a new style of venue. It has the usual range of drinks behind the bar and a couple of cask ales on offer and all are reasonably priced. The food is general standard pub grub, so if it’s a beer and a bar snack you require on your way to the station next door, then this is the place for you. There’s a large tv in the bar and the pub does get busy on match days. Also newly introduced are the live jazz nights held on a wednesday and the friday and saturday DJ spots.
