  • The Bowling Green is another one of the great traditional Manchester pubs that you’ll find scattered around the city, like most of the others the Bowling Green is off the beaten track but not far from Oxford Road, Manchester Academy and the Uni. This place can offer you a good traditional beer, pub grub and they also have a pool table. It’s location in the city means that this is more of a locals pub, but don’t let that put you off, with it’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere if you came accross this place be sure to pay it a visit.

  1. Norm Chaney Says:

I am looking for the Pub (near Manchester Royal) that was run by Bettye Casey and her husband and sister Dinah. They all passed in the early 1980’s and I have been looking for their children since then. I live in Washington DC and met all of them in Greece in 1981. I will be in Manchester day after tomorrow for a few days. Any ideas appreciated.
