Retro Bar- 78 Sackville Street, Manchester, M1 3NJ map
- Very friendly boozer close to University campuses and student accommodation, which can only add up to one thing, this place is really popular with students. However having said this it does have a mixture of people coming through the doors. Upstairs is your typical boozer, digital jukebox, tv’s, fruit machines and pool table should keep all amused. While downstairs is the Retro Bar’s hidden gem, hosting live band nights and club nights throughout the week. There is a small entry fee for downstairs and it can get busy very quickly. This is also a popular starting point for people venturing off to 5th Avenue.
- food (basic pub grub)
- outdoor seating
- pool table
- live music
- jukebox

Paid this place a visit for the first time on Sunday. Full of lots of diffenrent people, students I think mostly. All seemed like a friendly crowd. Served a nice Guinness which is always a bonus.
This isn’t one of your trendy pubs or bars, it is what it is and it won’t be everyones cup of tea, but for a nice relaxing, laid back beer on a sunday afternoon you can’t beat it.
