- A Holts’s pub just off the beaten track, the Crown and Cushion is popular with many locals and is one of the oldest pubs in Manchester, having been built on the site of The Old Crown alehouse, which dates back to 1741. The traditional style of the pub and the warm welcome you will receive from the many regulars means you can enjoy one of the excellent holts’s local brews in peace. There is a dartboard and tv, and if you decide to stay a little longer than expected then there is a small bar snack menu also on offer.
