CorbieresCorbieres Manchester - 2 Half Moon Street, Manchester, M2 7PS map

  • Hidden down a back street, just off St Anne Street, between St Anne’s Square and Cross Street, this has to be one of the best kept secret in Manchester.  Once you’ve found the entrance, venture down the uninviting stairs to the dark but welcoming cavenous European style bar below.  Having arguably the best jukebox in town playing everything from blues, motown, punk, rock and indie (with a huge selection of Manc acts), Corbieres is a Manchester institution that attracts an ever expanding regular crowd.  One visit and you’ll be back again!  There’s a good selection of drinks on offer, with bottles from around the world and there’s even a pinball machine.  Superb!
  • Import beers
  • Jukebox (large selection of Mancunian acts)
  • Food
  • Pinball

This place is a hidden gem. I totally adore Corbieres. Very relaxing cave like bar, great atmosphere. It’s a shame they don’t open late and last orders is too early. A must place to drink if you want something different and get away from the usually bog standard bars which lack character.

Think the Star Wars cantina with an indie crowd and better music!!!

  3. James Says:

    Top little place very unique

Strange attitude of bar staff though, act like they work in some high establishment place or something

Great selection of drinks, brilliant inside like being in a cave and I dont need to talk of the dukebox - its cracking!!!
