- The spectacular looking Shakespeare, just off manchester’s market street, originated in chester but was moved to manchester sometime in the 1920’s. the exterior gives an impression of a real old world pub, the inside has been chopped and changed over the years and now is quite dark. The bar is quite reasonable and there are a few real ales on offer, there are some imported bottle lagers on offer too. Popualr with shoppers and office workers alike, they also offer traditional pub grub, with a roast being the special on sundays. A great jukebox and a number of tvs allow the drinker to spend a great couple of hours in this friendly city centre pub.
