- Opened in 1992, Cruz 101 is the oldest gay club in manchester. Whilst it’s advertised as being on Princess Street, the entrance is actually down a backstreet (Major Street), just a short skip from the busy Canal Street. Open most days from 11pm, Cruz has always boasted one of the latest licenses around, even long before the 24 hour licensing laws were introduced. Most nights you will find that the club is split into two separate venues, the basement (Sub) being hired out for events. Expect to hear a real mix of sounds from their djs, from Disco classics to dance and trance. The drinks are reasonable, nothing special on offer and average club prices. They do however have certain drinks promotions most nights.
