Po Na NaPo Na Na - 42 Charles Street, Manchester, M1 7DB map

Po Na Na is a Manchester bar that many people may not have seen.  Located just off Oxford Road, alongside the BBC studios, around the corner from the Palace Theatre and Gay Village, this Moroccan themed club is quietly indicated by just a small plaque on the door.  Those that do know of it, can often be found queuing along the street to catch well known guest DJ’s like Mani (the Stone Roses and Primal Scream) and Huey (Fun Lovin Criminals) playing funk, r’n'b, hip hop, soul, salsa, drum’n'bass and disco.  The decor is typically Moroccan with bed-like seating, low hanging fabric from the ceiling, candle light, terracotta walls and floor to ceiling columns.  Like the fantastic Balearica jazz bar that stood here many years before, it’s a great place to chill out in a bar that’s different to the usual Manchester scene.

  • Disco (hip hop, r’n'b, salsa, funk, soul, jazz, drum’n'bass)
  • Cocktails
  • Opening Hours: Mon & Thurs-Sat 10pm-3am / Tues 10pm-2am / Weds 7pm-2am
