The New Union is a popular bar and club on the corner of Canal Street and Princess Street. A friendly mixed gay bar, they’ve managed to keep the traditional public house feel in the older part of the pub while the newer club area has been designed to get people moving, offering a great atmosphere to help you let your hair down. Really disappointed in the New Union. Went there one night with a straight female friend, a gay male friend and of course myself (I’m bi) and was turned away by the bouncers because of my straight female friend. Hetrosexuals and bi-sexuals were certainly not welcome that night.
i was at the union thre friday just gone and we was having a good time meet a couple of people and by the im straight myself and i got in no problem it got to about half one and my mates bag went missing we left on the sde of the stage next to a bouncer so we thought they would be safe but moments before the manager came up to my mate and said watch your bsg they might get robbed and she said to us that she watch the cam which was facing us all night and she said she saw nothing so if you go really watch your bag even tho that happen i would go again the music they play is the best out of the club because it doesn’t sound the same.
i go in there every weekend and love it! the union is a great place to relax and with friendly atmosphere it really sets the mood to chat away to any gender
