Popular with students, The Thirsty Scholar is a great bar under the arch’s of the Oxford Road train station, opposite the Palace Hotel. There’s entertainment every day of the week, live music midweek and dj’s at weekends playing Northern Soul, Reggae, Funk, 60’s Brit Pop, Rock and indie set. The Thirsty Scholar also offers food during the day and cheap beer offers.
