- Fat Cat Cafe is a popular restaurant, trendy bar and chic club on Manchester’s Deansgate Locks, recently refurbished adding a new-look intimate diner, larger bar area and a basement club. The restaurant offers formal dining in a relaxed environment or less formal outside seating during the day and the bar serves a number of beers and spirits, boasting over 50 different cocktails. Downstairs meanwhile is the new club, wonderfully named Pussy Boutique, complete with red lighting, mirrored walls and leather furniture.

I came here from Newcastle on the 3rd March 2007 and this time, I was apparently too “casual” and they would not let me in because I was wearing trainers.
