One Central Street - 1 Central Street, Manchester, M2 5WR map
- One Central Street (Formerly The Number One) is one of Manchester’s finest clubs and as a result has hosted many exclusive aftershow parties. Situated in the basement of a beautiful Grade II listed building near the Town Hall, it’s a backstreet nightclub which attracts an exlectic mix of clubbers. Run by ex-Hacienda manager Leroy Richardson, it’s the home to some of the best club nights in town, including Bugged Out and Ace Of Spades, playing funky house and disco. The award-winning bar is plush and offers a great choice of cocktails. Like the Hac, there’s no strict dress code (jeans and trainers allowed) and they claim to attract people with a bit more individuality than the norm. As was also the case with the Hacienda though, the doormen are notorious for being selective and you can expect to be made to queue for prolonged periods.
