  • Baa Bar is the chain of North West bars created by popular Manchester property company Urban Splash. Hot on the heels of their Liverpool branch, the Deansgate Locks offering was their first in Manchester city centre (another has since opened in the Gay Village), and it has remained popular for well over 10 years. It has recently had a refurbishment, losing the disgusting uni-sex toilets in favour of a more intimate upstairs area and better seating on the ground floor. They haven’t however lost their superb famous shooters, which are so ridiculously cheap, and the many offers on bottles - it makes Baa Bar a binge drinkers paradise! The DJ’s spin funky house tunes, chart hits, disco classics and Madchester anthems whilst the bouncer’s are a lot friendlier than some of the others nearby. Whilst other bars on The Locks tend not to be as busy as they once were, Baa Bar remains crammed at weekends and the comfy sofa’s get taken up quickly!

I was refused entry on the 3rd March 2007 because I was dressed too casually and I was wearing trainers.

  2. Rob Says:

Simple - don’t wear trainers - if you are on a night out - make an effort!
